Ultimate Picnic Dips
These crowd-pleasing dips are cheesy, hearty, and perfect for picnics, BBQs, game nights, or easy party spreads.
Sloppy Joe Dip
Ingredients
- 1 pound 80/20 ground beef
- ½ cup diced yellow onion
- ½ cup diced red bell pepper
- 1 packet sloppy joe seasoning
- ½ cup low-sodium beef broth
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1¾ cups tomato puree
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups shredded Colby Jack cheese
- 1 toasted French baguette, sliced
Instructions
- Cook beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Add onion and bell pepper; cook until softened.
- Stir in seasoning, broth, ketchup, tomato puree, tomato paste, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes.
- Transfer to a baking dish and top with cheese.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes until bubbly.
- Serve hot with toasted baguette slices.
Rotel Dip
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 16 ounces Velveeta, cubed
- 1 can Rotel tomatoes with green chilies
Instructions
- Brown beef in a skillet; season with salt and pepper.
- Reduce heat and add Velveeta and Rotel.
- Stir until smooth and melted.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips.
Bacon Cheddar cheese Dip
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
- 3–4 green onions, diced
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Instructions
- Mix cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth.
- Stir in cheddar, green onions, and bacon.
- Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve with crackers, chips, or veggies.
Crab Rangoon Dip
Ingredients
Dip
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 12 ounces canned crab meat, drained
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup Colby-Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
Crispy Wontons
- Wonton wrappers
- Olive oil or cooking spray
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Mix all dip ingredients together except extra topping cheese.
- Spread into a baking dish and top with extra cheese if desired.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes until hot and bubbly.
- Cut wonton wrappers into triangles, lightly oil, and bake until crispy.
- Serve dip warm with crispy wontons and sweet chili sauce drizzled on top.
