Cindy Crawford’s admission about son Presley just two months before his death at 27

 

Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford, has passed away at only 27. Now, his mother’s admssion about her son on his last birthday two months before her death has resurfaced.

The news came as a huge shock. A spokesperson for Cindy Crawford, her husband, Range Gerber and their daughter, Kaia Gerber, confirmed the horrifying news that their son and brother, PResley Gerber, had passed away.

He was only 27. In a statement to TMZ, the family said they ask “for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”

Presley died on Sunday, September 20, at a rehabilitation facility, according to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. An official cause of death has yet to be determined, with an autopsy still pending.

Born July 2, 1999, Presley Walker Gerber was the only son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. He grew up in the spotlight alongside his younger sister, Kaia.

His mother was at the time one of, if not the, most famous supermodel in the world, something that was impossible for both Presley and Kaia to not see.

That growing up, they knew their mom was somewhat of a big deal. Not least becasue of the amount of fans who would approach her.

“It was definitely the attention, like when people would walk by and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, that’s Cindy Crawford.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, yeah. I think. I’m pretty sure it is,'” Presley told Today while interviewed alongside his sister and mother last year.

Like his famous mother, Presley pursued a career in modeling. He began working in the fashion industry as a teenager and walked the runway for major designers, including Moschino, while also appearing in campaigns for well-known brands.

However, sadly, Presley also went through very challenging periods as he became an adult. In January 2019, Presley was arrested on suspicion of DUI, per TMZ.

Later that year, he was sentenced to three years of probation. He was also ordered to complete a DUI program and perform two days of community service.

Openly spoke about personal struggles

In recent years, Presley had also spoken openly about struggles in his personal life. He discussed his mental health, depression, substance abuse and recovery, using social media to share some of the challenges he had faced.

In a 2025 Instagram video, Presley spoke about how he hoped his experiences with substance abuse could help others feel less alone. Also, he admitted that his mental health struggles are “really bad.

Cindy Crawford continued to suport her son through the very challenging times. And just two months ago, as Presley Gerber celebrated his 27th birthday, she made a post about him on Instagram.

“The benzos have been fluctuating up and down depending on what’s been going on in my life. Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently, so that is not an excuse, but it’s the reason why I am where I’m at now.”

He added, “I don’t know if it’s a little bit or a lot, who f—ing knows at this point anymore.”

Together with two throwback pictures of herself and her son, one when they are laying on a beach lounge chair with a young Presley laying on her chest and another were they pose in green and red sunglasses, Cindy Crawdford admitted that although he had grown up, she would always see him as her baby.

Happy birthday [Presley], Cindy wrote. “I’m so proud of the man you’ve become, but I’ll always see you as my little boy! Love you ❤️”
